Klara Bühl ruled out for several weeks

Bad news for Klara Bühl and FC Bayern Women: the 23-year-old suffered a muscular injury in the Bundesliga match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Monday evening and, having set up the opening goal for Magdalena Eriksson, had to be substituted at half-time. Further tests have confirmed that Bühl will be out of action for several weeks.

It means the calendar year is over for the attacker, and FCB head coach Alexander Straus must do without Bühl in the final two Champions League matches of 2023 against Ajax (14 December in Munich and 20 December in Amsterdam) as well as the Bundesliga fixture against 1. FC Nürnberg (17 December).
