Kingsley Coman (29) has confirmed that he wishes to remain at his current club, Bayern Munich, for the upcoming season.

There had been doubts about Coman’s continuation at Bayern Munich beyond the summer. It had been reported by Florian Plettenberg that a departure was likely for the Frenchman. Arsenal had been cited as a destination for the former Paris Saint-Germain winger. There have also been frequent links to Saudi Arabia.

However, unlike Leroy Sané, a departure is seemingly no longer on the cards for Coman, despite the prospective arrival of another winger, either in the form of Nico Williams or PSG’s Bradley Barcola. With the arrival of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and the rise of Désiré Doué, there is a question mark surrounding the future of the former Olympique Lyonnais winger.

In any case, Coman is counting on remaining in Bavaria this summer. “I want to stay at Bayern Munich,” the French winger told Bild. Last season, he played 43 games for the club, scoring nine goals and registering six assists.
