Kim Min-jae has set his sights on winning the UEFA Champions League with Bayern Munich after scoring his first-ever goal in the competition on Tuesday.

In their crunch clash against PSG in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, Bayern Munich had an unlikely match-winner as Kim Min-jae found the back of the net from a corner in the 38th minute to secure the three points.

The goal put Vincent Kompany's side back in contention for a top eight finish to the league phase, boosting their hopes that looked to be in tatters after back-to-back defeats to Aston Villa and FC Barcelona.

"We play together, run together, fight together" - Kim Min-jae eyes Champions League glory

Since the defeat to Barcelona, Bayern Munich have won seven straight matches and kept clean sheets in all those games.

Kim Min-jae has played a vital role in FC Bayern's defensive resurgence. And after scoring the match-winning goal for Bayern on Tuesday, the center-back spoke about his desire to win the Champions League with the club this season.

"I'm very proud, this was my first goal in the UEFA Champions League," Kim said in the mixed zone after Bayern's 1-0 win over PSG. When asked if Bayern can win the Champions League this season, he said, "Yeah, of course. We play together, run together, fight together. It's not easy, but yeah we can do it [win the CL]."

Kim also had plenty of praise for his defensive partner Dayot Upamecano and said that he really likes playing with the France international. The two will hope to continue their blossoming defensive partnership this weekend when another tough test awaits Bayern Munich, away to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
