Key Barcelona transfer target says yes to joining Bayern Munich – Report | OneFootball

It seems now that FC Barcelona will have to truly accelerate their efforts if they want to land their key targets this summer. So far, the Catalan giants have only been able to make one official signing. Apart from that, various operations concerning Barcelona are still underway.

While it is expected that the club will soon have their second signing of the summer as well, there are other more prominent targets to pursue as well. The left-winger position in particular is one that is proving to be troublesome for Barcelona as they look for a new option.

Previously, Athletic Club star Nico Williams was considered to be the club’s most prominent target. Unfortunately, that operation ended up bearing no fruit and the Spaniard ultimately renewed his contract with the Basque side.

However, a new alternative option emerged in the form of Luis Diaz, the same player that had been linked to Barcelona even before Nico Williams emerged as a target again this summer. In his case, dealing with Liverpool and the player was the main challenge because of the finances involved.

Luis Diaz says yes to joining Bayern Munich

Now, however, a new update from Germany suggests something truly surprising considering the progress so far. According to BILD, 28-year-old Liverpool forward Luis Diaz has now agreed to join Bayern Munich following their approach to him and he wants to join the Bavarian club.

Moreover, further talks are already underway with the player as per the report and he is considered a top candidate for their own winger position. This is undoubtedly a blow to Barcelona if true, considering that he is one of the few options that they are reportedly considering right now.

Ready to join Barcelona without guarantees

Just recently it was reported that the Colombian winger would be open to joining Barcelona this summer without needing any guarantees. Unlike Nico Williams, Diaz was reportedly interested in joining La Blaugrana even without needing any additional guarantees.

As it stands, these conflicting reports will only make sense once more developments take place. For now, the Luis Diaz operation seems to be open for both Barcelona and Bayern Munich, with the option of Marcus Rashford being one that the Catalan giants are also involved in.
