That bodes well for the new campaign and eases our nerves a little after losing the talent and leadership qualities of Joe Hart.

Although he’s nearing his 38th birthday, Kasper is probably the best player we could have got to replace Joe. Despite the concern over his advancing years he’s a quality keeper who’s still playing at the highest level, so his level of performance shouldn’t really surprise us.

Kasper will undoubtedly strengthen us in the goalkeeping department and that is all we can ask for since we losing the services of a keeper as talented as Joe.

Kasper’s experience and quality will not only help the team, but it will also benefit on our other new keeper Viljami Sinisalo who is very much seen as Kasper’s successor down the line, and the Finnish international will learn a lot from Kasper.
