Karim Adeyemi on the verge of signing for Napoli | OneFootball

Karim Adeyemi is on the verge of signing for Napoli from Borussia Dortmund, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Both clubs are entering the final phase of talks with the transfer fee totalling around €40m, rather than the €50m which was previously reported.

Both Napoli and BVB will focus on their domestic games this weekend before finalising the deal on Sunday.

Adeyemi has missed a large portion of games this season, playing just nine of Borussia Dortmund’s 18 Bundesliga games, scoring two and creating three.

Adeyemi had previously ruled out a winter move with his focus fully on BVB and attempting to improve their current league position of 10th.

However, following the recent sacking of Nuri Şahin and Dortmund supposedly open to letting the 23-year-old leave, Adeyemi may feel that his time in Yellow and Black has come to a natural end.

It’s likely that Adeyemi will be missing from Dortmund’s matchday squad against Werder Bremen on Saturday.
