Kai Havertz has set an unwanted Premier League record during Arsenal’s enthralling 2-2 draw at Manchester City.

Arsenal were left deflated after conceding a 98th-minute equaliser to Manchester City at the Etihad, having led until the final seconds of the game. Erling Haaland had fired the Citizens in front on nine minutes with his 10th Premier League goal of the campaign, though Arsenal regrouped impressively to turn the game around before the break.

Riccardo Calafiori marked his full debut with a wonderful effort fired into the top corner, before Gabriel Magalhaes scored for the second week running from an Arsenal set-piece.

The Brazilian’s header from Bukayo Saka’s corner put Arsenal ahead, though the game swung in first-half stoppage-time when Leandro Trossard was sent off for the visitors.

The Belgium international was dismissed after picking up a second yellow card for kicking the ball away, leaving Arsenal with 10 men for the second half.

Mikel Arteta’s men defended in numbers and almost escaped the Etihad with a point, only for Stones to break the visitor’s hearts late on.

Havertz becomes first Premier League player in seven years to achieve unwanted feat…

Arsenal were forced to spend long periods without the ball in the second half and Havertz made history after becoming the first Premier League player in seven years to complete 90 minutes without completing a single pass (0/5).

The German had 23 touches overall, though ended the game with more blocked shots (1) than completed passes (0).
