First of all, while Motta wants even the defender to be adequate ball handlers, he shouldn’t be stubborn with Danilo, at least in matches where he has to deal with pacey attackers. Federico Gatti has his flaws but is much better at guarding opponents.

As for the newcomer, it’ll be hard to find the right fit with little to spend. The Udinese star is rock-solid and massive but is more used to a three-man line and doesn’t have great upside. He’d be a candidate only if reasonably cheap, which probably isn’t the case.
