Juventus Linked to Three Premier League Defenders

Juventus haven’t been able to reach an agreement with Milan and Fikayo Tomori after a new round of talks following Saturday’s clash, and they are now after a few more options. In particular, they’ll have a meeting with Chelsea to discuss Renato Veiga and Ben Chilwell, while Newcastle United offered Lloyd Kelly, Alfredo Pedullà reports.

The Bianconeri have reservations about investing in the Milan star given his €30M price tag and his latest performances. They would have to convince the player, but his side would be ready to ship him off following the acquisition of Kyle Walker.

Juventus are examining primarily Kelly, who hasn’t been a regular for Newcastle United this campaign. The Magpies beat out Milan to sing him on a Bosman deal after a few solid campaigns at Bournemouth. He fits the profile of what the Bianconeri are looking for, as he’s left-footed and can play on the wing. However, he is injury-prone. His valuation is €15/18M, and there’s room to haggle on the formula.

Juventus will talk with Chelsea first. Veiga is younger and has similar traits. Instead, Chilwell is one of the options to replace Andrea Cambiaso, as Manchester City might table with a large bid. The Bianconeri are also mulling Lens’ Kevin Danso.

Our Take on the Juventus Defense

It has become a wild goose chase, and it’s apparent that they won’t be able to sign anybody close to the level of Gleison Bremer if those are the options. The latest ones would be okay only if they went for a pair. The Cambiaso situation could drastically change the scenario.
