Juventus Have an Inglorious Record in Their Sights

Juventus couldn’t hold on to their early lead in Bologna but got away with a point that kept them in fourth place, although on par with Roma and Lazio, which were successful during the week. The result prevented a direct opponent, and one of the most in-form teams in Serie A, from overtaking them.

As Tuttomercatoweb relays, the Bianconeri have recorded 15 draws this campaign. They are just two shy of their all-time record. They rarely lost with Thiago Motta at the helm until things unraveled before his ousting. However, they shared the spoils a plethora of times.

Historically, Juventus had more ties only in 1955/56, logging 17, and 1965/66, with 16. At this stage, they have matched the numbers put up by the Antonio Conte-led team in 2011/2012. The Old Lady won the title by staying undefeated that year, winning 23 games.

Instead, this season’s squad has been successful on 16 occasions and has been defeated in 4 matches. It’s fighting to qualify for the Champions League with three other teams. Fiorentina are more distant after getting nipped by Roma.

Juventus didn’t solve their away woes in Bologna and have another crunch game coming up on the road. They’ll take on Lazio next week. The Biancocelesti haven’t been particularly great in front of their fans, though.

The Bianconeri will finish the season against Udinese and Venezia. They’ll be hoping for some help from the infirmary since Teun Koopmeiners, Dusan Vlahovic, Federico Gatti, and Lloyd Kelly were unavailable against the Rossoblù. Kenan Yildiz will finish serving his two-game ban. Andrea Cambiaso will miss out due to a rectus femoris elongation and will be re-assessed in a week.
