Juventus remain in the center of a transfer market tug-of-war as momentum and uncertainty swirl around their pursuit of Jadon Sancho, according to reports from Tuttosport, Tutto Juve, and Spazio J.
Negotiations between Juventus and Manchester United for Sancho have progressed further than at any previous stage this summer. Tuttosport details how a recent direct call between the two clubs yielded “positive” results, sparking optimism on the Juventus side that a deal can be reached. Both parties have been working to overcome significant hurdles, chiefly the player’s high wages and United’s financial demands. Sources suggest that Sancho himself is increasingly open to a move to Turin, with Juventus now focused on agreeing a suitable formula to satisfy all sides—particularly around United’s transfer fee and the salary package for the winger.
Michele De Blasis, writing for Tutto Juve, confirmed the sense of nearness: “Juventus and Jadon Sancho have never been this close. Even the final details have been smoothed out.” Club decision-makers have devoted considerable effort in recent days to narrowing the remaining gaps and finalizing terms that would allow manager Igor Tudor to add a proven wide attacker to his squad.
However, the transfer picture remains unsettled. As reported by Spazio J, the last hours have seen a sudden shift in strategy from Juventus, triggered by broader changes in their attacking plans. The club, having just secured Jonathan David following his contract expiration at Lille, is considering alternative targets as forwards Dusan Vlahovic and Samuel Mbangula edge closer to possible exits. The tactical remit now includes giving more prominent roles to Francisco Conceicao, Nico Gonzalez, and Kenan Yildiz—adding further variables to Torino’s attacking mix.
In light of these internal movements, Juventus has revived interest in Karim Adeyemi of Borussia Dortmund. The club hopes to leverage its positive relationship with Dortmund, with a deal possibly costing between €45–50 million. Whether this pivot to Adeyemi signals the collapse of the Sancho operation remains to be seen. Spazio J describes the situation as “too early to call a breakdown,” but it’s clear the club is evaluating multiple scenarios, possibly aiming to land both players if circumstances allow.
The coming days are expected to be decisive. With key offensive players potentially departing, and multiple top targets in play, Juventus’s next move will significantly shape the look of Tudor’s first-team squad for the new campaign.
