Atlético de Madrid's decision to sign Julián Alvarez has proved to be worthwhile.
The former Manchester City man has enjoyed a bright start to life in Spain and again delivered on the European stage.
Atleti grabbed an early lead against Sparta Praha on Tuesday after Alvarez stepped up and scored a perfect free-kick into the top left corner. Goalkeeper Peter Vindahl Jensen didn't move an inch.
The goal was Alvarez's second direct free-kick in the Champions League.
He's now only three back of tying the record for most in the competition by an Argentine player.
The holder of such a record is, naturally, Lionel Messi (five). Will Alvarez catch him?
