Jonathan Burkardt on the list of Omar Marmoush replacements at Eintracht Frankfurt | OneFootball

Sport Bild reports that Mainz’s Jonathan Burkardt is on the list of players who Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in bringing in if Omar Marmoush leaves in the summer.

Frankfurt are preparing for the Egyptian’s departure as he has already begun to attract interest from Europe’s biggest clubs and they are expected to receive around €60m for the 25-year-old. This means they need potential replacements lined up.

Die Adler has a list of five to six players who could be brought in if Marmoush leaves. Rennes’ Arnaud Kalimuendo and Mainz’s Burkardt are among the options. The 24-year-old made his Germany senior international debut earlier this season and currently has 11 goals and two assists for the 05ers in this campaign, his first full fit after struggling with injuries the past couple of seasons.

There are also internal solutions in Frankfurt. Hugo Ekitké is likely to stay at the club next season, Igor Matanovic has been used as an option off of the bench, while Jean Bahoya and Can Uzun could also be utilised with a change in formation.
