John Obi Mikel has stated it’s going to be “incredible” to see the Club World Cup final between Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain.
Chelsea booked their place in the final with a 2-0 win against Fluminense on Tuesday night, whilst PSG destroyed Real Madrid 4-0 on Wednesday evening.
The Blues take on the Champions League winners on Sunday in what is sure to be a brilliant spectacle at the Met-Life Stadium in New York.
Whilst it’s not a surprise to see PSG in the final, not many would have tipped Chelsea to make it, and the Blues have really grown as the tournament has gone on.
The only defeat came against Flamengo, which could have been a blessing in disguise as it put Chelsea in the opposite side of the draw to the likes of PSG, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
The toughest test of all awaits now against Luis Enrique’s side, who have looked superb throughout the tournament, but they too have lost once game.

PSG are arguably the best side in the world, and it will be a great test for this young Chelsea team to see how far they’ve come, and how they much up against the best side out there currently.
Former Blue Mikel, who’s been critical of Chelsea in the past has been speaking about the strengths of PSG, and how good they are both on and off the ball.
“This is the way football is played, not just when they have the ball but also when they don’t have the ball, I think they work so hard and they control the game,” he told DAZN as cited on X.com.
“We [Chelsea] have a great midfield now. Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, and Cole Palmer, who plays in the number ten role. It is going to be incredible to see the match.”
The Blues have been sweating on the fitness of Moises Caicedo after he rolled his ankle in the final minutes of the semi final.

Caicedo was seen taking part in training on Thursday, and there’s been no update to suggest he won’t be available, which is a huge plus for the Blues.
Romeo Lavia was once again absent from training, which doesn’t bode well in his quest to be fit for the final, whilst it remains to be seen if Dario Essugo has recovered from a muscle issue which ruled him out of the semi final.
