Jean Onana attracts interest from Serie A after his Marseille loan ends | OneFootball

Jean Onana’s (24) time at Olympique de Marseille will end with a shadow of this morning’s terrible events hanging over it. The midfielder was fortunate to escape an attempted car-jacking unscathed as he, Faris Moumbagna (23), and Bamo Meïté (22) were shot at during the violent attack.

The former FC Girondins de Bordeaux and RC Lens-man will return to Beşiktaş following a six-month loan back to France. However, it appears as if his stay at his parent club will not last for too much longer, as Foot Mercato reports, Onana has attracted interest from Serie A.

His time in Marseille was perhaps not the most productive as he struggled to find a way into Jean-Louis Gasset’s side after a return from an injury saw him make only one start in the final six games of the season. Yet, it is clear from his history in the league that a great player is waiting for the right club.
