Japan Women beat USA in SheBelieves Cup decider

Japan won the SheBelieves Cup for the first time with a 2-1 victory over the USA, while Colombia beat Australia to take third place.
The Nadeshiko netted early in each half to end a run of five SheBelieves Cup titles for the USA.
In only the second minute, Yuka Momiki received a ball from Yui Hasegawa and took advantage of a collision between goalkeeper Jane Campbell and defender Emily Sonnett to clip a shot into the empty net.
Catarina Macario turned and played Ally Sentnor away to fire the hosts back on level terms a dozen minutes later.
Five minutes after the break, Hasegawa’s free kick was parried by Campbell but Toko Koga was first to the rebound to score what proved to be the winning goal.

Colombia struck first after Linda Caicedo intercepted a backpass and found Mayra Ramirez, who picked out Wendy Bonilla to fire home from the edge of the box.
Australia were level midway through the second half, Hayley Raso taking down a long ball from Charlotte Grant, nutmegging one defender and netting via a deflection off another.
But just four minutes later Las Cafeteras hit the winner, Catalina Usme’s effort deflecting up and over goalkeeper Teagan Micah.
Canada sank Taiwan 7-0 in the Pinatar Cup, Marie-Yasmine Alidou with a first-half treble, Jordyn Huitema bagging a brace and one each from Megan Reid and Adriana Leon.
Also at the Pinatar Arena in Spain, Mexico defeated China 2-0 with early goals from Alice Soto and Alexia Delgado.
Jamaica almost let slip a 3-0 lead over Peru, after Naya Cardoza, Reanna Blades and Tiffany Cameron had all scored inside the first 25 minutes. Birka Ruiz and Alondra Vilchez replied but Gerladine Cisneros missed a penalty.
New Zealand netted a 90th-minute winner against Costa Rica through Maya Hahn, Chile and Argentina played out a goalless draw.
South Korea were 3-0 winners over India despite missing a penalty at the Pink Ladies Cup in the UAE, Choi Yoo-jung, Choi Dak-yeong and Mun Eun-ju their scorers. The hosts beat Bangladesh 3-1, Thailand versus Uzbekistan ended 0-0 and Football Union of Russia defeated Jordan 3-0.
