The Jägermeister Cup enters its final weekend of group stage games, after which six teams (the winner of each group) will move on to the Quarterfinals. No team has clinched their spot, which makes many of the upcoming eighteen matches hugely important. Ties in group stage are resolved by the following set of rules (applied in order until a winner is determined):
There will also be two wild card teams selected based on cumulative points from all the remaining groups. Obviously, teams with the highest points advance, but in the event of a tie, apply these rules (note the difference… goal scored is actually more important than wins, head-to-head or otherwise):
All games are played on Saturday, July 26 unless otherwise stated, and are streamed on ESPN+.

The path is very straightforward for this group. There are three games left, two teams competing for first, two teams already eliminated, and two teams in the middle limbo.
7pm ET @ CHI Memorial Stadium, East Ridge, Tennessee Both sides’ race is run. All that’s left to play for is pride and bragging rights for NOT finishing last.
7pm ET @ Michael A. Carroll Stadium, Indianapolis, IndianaWith 8 points and a +2 in the GD, Indy Eleven sit squarely in the driver’s seat. Win and they’re in. Heck, even a shootout win would probably be good enough to advance. FC Tulsa should relish their spoiler role, and will not want to concede to an Eleven side with nine fewer points than them in the USL standings.
8pm ET @ Protective Stadium, Birmingham, AlabamaBirmingham must ignore what’s happening in the other fixture. Sitting on 7 points, a win here might or might not place them in first, but it would absolutely put them on solid footing for a wild card spot. Breathe deep, Legion. Focus and bring it home. Madison have two wins in their last ten; they are a beatable squad.

This group is all about “El Clamico.” If you are unfamiliar with this newly minted derby, read on!
Friday, July 25 6:30pm @ Fitzpatrick Stadium, Portland, MaineThis is, quite frankly, a meaningless fixture between two already relegated teams on a Friday night. The Hearts of Pine fanbase, however, will show up mightily as they always do.
7pm ET @ Keyworth Stadium, Hamtramck, MichiganBroadcast nationally on ESPN2 Westchester is one of three teams that have lost all their Jägermeister Cup games. With this game nationally broadcast on ESPN2, they’ll not want to suffer the indignity of another defeat. That should prove tricky for Detroit City, who have nothing to play for and whose form over the past ten games has been less than optimal (2W, 2D, 6L).
7pm ET @ Centreville Bank Stadium, Pawtucket, Rhode IslandThis is a derby match known as “El Clamico,” despite the inconvenient fact that Hartford is located 37 miles from the ocean. But it’s a clever moniker; let’s go with it. The two teams just played to a 0 – 0 draw last weekend, a spicy affair that generated four yellow cards apiece. Expect even more drama in this one, as first place and a guaranteed spot in the knockout rounds is up for grabs.
