The Serie A giants have already confirmed the signing of Jonathan David on a free, and are now hoping to strengthen out wide.

“Juventus insists on Sancho: there have been positive contacts with the player, they are also working on him after the basic understanding with David.

Positive talks with Jadon Sancho

“Juventus’ transfer market continues, moving on multiple fronts. After reaching a basic agreement last night with Jonathan David , the Bianconeri are pushing for Jadon Sancho .

“There have been positive contacts with the player, so we will continue to work on him even after having closed the arrival of the former Lille striker.

“Juve have already had contact in recent weeks regarding Sancho, therefore they are insisting on strengthening the wingers.”

While the report does not mention a price, The Peoples Person had already relayed that Juve have no issue in paying United’s asking price but they would not pay Sancho’s wage demands.

Di Marzio seems to indicate Jadon Sancho has agreed to some sort of wage reduction but the exact amount and other details have not come out in the open.

Juventus have been long-term admirers

Apart from a direct deal, the Italian side had also offered United the option of a swap deal, offering as many as three players in exchange, including Douglas Luiz, Dusan Vlahovic and Timothy Weah.

INEOS have so far struggled to offload the ex-Manchester City academy graduate mainly due his wage demands, which has seen Premier League suitors and Fenerbahce stay away from submitting a concrete proposal.

Chelsea, who had the option of converting his loan stint into a permanent deal, opted not to do so due to his wage demands and inconsistent displays.

Juventus seem to think they can turn around the player’s fortunes, and have been long-term admirers of his talent. United will hope they can get sales going as Ruben Amorim targets a striker, midfielder and a goalkeeper this window.
