Isaac Hayden posts emotional farewell message to Newcastle United fans | OneFootball

Earlier today, Newcastle United revealed (see below) that they had reached agreement with Isaac Hayden for him to move on.

The midfielder still had a year left on his contract, his six year deal not set to end until 30 June 2026.

However, after reaching this agreement with NUFC, Isaac Hayden leaves as a free agent.

Hopefully now Hayden can get a permanent deal at a club that can give him regular first team football in the coming years.

Always a committed player for NUFC on the pitch, Isaac Hayden has now posted on social media this personal emotional farewell message to the Newcastle United fans:

‘Magpies, it’s time to officially say goodbye.

Although we’ve not seen each other recently, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all the support over the years.

I have had some incredible memories wearing the shirt and playing at St James’ Park.

I wish everyone associated with the club nothing but the best for the future.

Thank you to all the players, coaches and backroom staff during my tenure.

Onto the next chapter.’

‘Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden has departed the club as a free agent.

The 30-year-old joined the Magpies in 2016 after starting his professional career with Arsenal and, during his time at St. James’ Park, the midfielder made 171 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Most recently, he spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan with Championship side Portsmouth after spells with Standard Liège and Queens Park Rangers during the last campaign.
