Chelsea's winless run extended to three games on Monday as they fell to a frustrating 2-0 defeat to Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
A controversial penalty gave Ipswich the chance to take an early lead. Filip Jorgensen was deemed to have tripped Liam Delap, who dusted himself off and dispatched from the spot in emphatic fashion to give the hosts an advantage to defend.
Former Chelsea youngster Omari Hutchinson added a second for Ipswich against the run of play ten minutes into the second half, allowing Ipswich to focus on frustrating their expensive visitors for the remainder of play.
With two straight defeats, Chelsea find themselves down in fourth in the Premier League standings, with Arsenal able to increase their advantage to four points when they face Brentford on Wednesday. League leaders Liverpool, who have also played one game fewer, sit ten points ahead of the Blues.
