Simone Inzaghi is desperate to put Parma in the rear view mirror and show what his “real” Inter Milan are capable of against Bayern Munich.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They note that the Champions League has often been where the Nerazzurri have truly shone this season.
Inter Milan had a weekend to forget. They will certainly see their draw against Parma on Saturday as two points dropped – not least having been 2-0 up at halftime.
Inter will be closely following Napoli’s match against Bologna this evening. Whether they admit it or not.
If the Partenopei are to drop points in Emilia-Romagna themselves, it would soften the blow of a disappointing result and preserve Inter’s buffer at the top of the Serie A table.

But whatever the result in the Napoli match, the draw against Parma was a disappointment.
Any time Inter throw away points like on Saturday, it invites doubts and criticism.
However, the Nerazzurri have a perfect opportunity to respond right away.
Inter have not had time to dwell on Saturday’s result. Already tomorrow, they will be in action again.
And it will be one of the biggest matches of Inter’s season.
The Nerazzurri face Bayern Munich in the first leg of a Champions League quarterfinal tie tomorrow in Germany.
So far this season, Inter have virtually always risen to the occasion in the Champions League.
A performance against Bayern like the ones that Inter put in against Manchester City and Arsenal, among others, would definitely allow them to instantly forget about Parma.
Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi obviously knows that won’t be easy.
But the coach believes that it is possible.
