Inzaghi Denies Kompany & Kane Claims Of ‘Excessive Celebration’ By Inter Milan Vs Bayern Munich: ‘Team Was Proud, Bayern Have The Highest Wage Bill In The World’

Simone Inzaghi has hit out at claims by Vincent Kompany and Harry Kane that Inter Milan were “excessive” in celebrations against Bayern Munich.
The Nerazzurri coach spoke in a press conference after his team’s 3-1 win over Cagliari this evening, as reported by FCInterNews.
This past week, Inter Milan got a huge win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The Nerazzurri came out 2-1 winners from the first leg of a quarterfinal tie against the Bavarians.
The work is certainly far from over for Inter. They will know just how tough ninety minutes against Bayern is going to be this coming Wednesday.
However, it was a big result on its own, Particularly in view of the performance that Inter put in.
Therefore, it is little surprise that the Nerazzurri squad were in a celebratory mood afterwards.

But Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany suggested that Inter’s celebrations went over the top.
Moreover, star striker Harry Kane echoed this idea with some post-match comments of his own.
But Inter coach Simone Inzaghi said “I don’t know about that.”
“Personally, I congratulated the team for two minutes,” he went on. “As I had done today against Cagliari.”
“We have to move forward. Knowing that matches are always open.”
“The team looked proud to me Munich,” Inzaghi continued. “They knew that they were up against a very strong group.”
“With the highest wage bill in the world,” the Inter coach noted.
“We’ll have to play a great match in the second leg. Because that’s the only way to move forward.”
Then, Simone Inzaghi also gave his thoughts on Inter being the team with the second most home wins in Europe after Real Madrid since he became coach.
“That’s definitely a nice fact,” he said.
“When we play here we have a crowd who certainly help us a lot, and when we need them they’re always here with us.”
“There were a lot of them in Munich as well.”
“We’ve never been alone in our struggles or wins. The partnership has to keep going.”
