Simone Inzaghi has made history by becoming the quickest coach to reach 200 Serie A victories, beating Max Allegri’s record at Inter and Lazio.
The tactician oversaw this evening’s 4-0 success at the Stadio Via del Mare against Lecce, a team that had lost only one of its last six home fixtures.
That result was the 200th win in Inzaghi’s Serie A career, out of a grand total 332 matches on the touchline.

Nobody had ever managed to reach this milestone so soon, as Allegri took 338 games to celebrate his 200th victory.
The 48-year-old has now amassed 200 wins, 59 draws and 73 defeats in his 332 Serie A fixtures.
Inzaghi made his debut as caretaker manager at Lazio in the 3-0 win away to Palermo on April 10, 2016.
He was given the permanent role at the start of the next season, leaving in 2021 to begin a new adventure at Inter.
