Serie A champions Inter are set to make a summer move for Genoa star Albert Gudmundsson, who has been linked with a series of Italian sides.

La Gazzetta dello Sport state today that Inter have readied an offer for the Iceland international that will be made at the end of the season. They have already had a meeting with the player’s agents and have understood that the Genoa man would be interested in a move to the Nerazzurri in the summer.

Inter’s plan is to make a move once the loan from Pimco has been made official. Those funds will also help in renewing contracts for Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella and even Simone Inzaghi.

Genoa want around €30 million to €35 million for Gudmundsson and Inter want to sign him on an initial loan deal with the obligation to buy him permanently. This will make sure that the bulk of the investment will go into the finances of 2025 and the same would apply for Genoa, who have already made a profit from Radu Dragusin’s sale to Tottenham.

To potentially reduce the cost of the move, Inter would like to offer players to Genoa. One player that they could offer is Mattia Zanotti and another is Martin Sartiano, who will return from a favourable loan stint at Brest. Francesco Pio Esposito could also be part of the move.
