Inter Milan are working on a two-pronged approached to sign forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have marked Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman as their primary target in attack.
The Nigerian international won’t come cheap. Atalanta are demanding €50 million, and have rejected Inter’s opening bid of €40 million.
However, the Corriere dello Sport report, Inter are ready to improve their offer.
The newspaper notes that the Nerazzurri wouldn’t balk at adding a few million euros to their bid to try and inch towards an agreement with Atalanta.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Inter’s strategy is to try and move forward on two separate fronts.
First of all, there is the matter of convincing Atalanta. Inter believe that they are not all that far off from making the right bid for La Dea to accept.
Then, the Corriere report, Inter are also very much active with the player’s side of things.
Lookman expects a transfer this summer. After Atalanta turned down Paris Saint-Germain’s interest last summer, the Nigerian believes that the club promised him he could leave this summer.
Therefore, Inter have already worked things out in talks with Lookman and his representaitves.
Accordingly, the Nerazzurri are hoping that the Nigerian turns up the heat a bit with Atalanta.
