Inter Milan are ready to move for Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento after completing the sales of four fringe players.

Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, name Gaetano Oristanio, Martin Satriano, Mattia Zanotti, and Zinho Vanheusden as players whose departures could finance a move for Bento.

Reports indicate that Bento is a priority target for Inter.

The Nerazzurri have been tracking the Brazilian for at least a year.

However, now Inter appear to have decided to go all-in on signing Bento.

The 24-year-old is the player who Inter believe is the ideal candidate to become their starting goalkeeper in the long term.

At the moment, that is Yann Sommer. The 35-year-old joined Inter from Bayern Munich last summer, and his form has hardly been a problem for this summer.

But the fact remains that, even if Sommer is able to keep his current level up for a couple more seasons, he is hardly the solution beyond that point.

Therefore, Inter see a long-term successor as a major priority. They want to sign a younger keeper who can back up Sommer for a season before taking over permanently.

Inter Ready To Sign Bento After Selling Oristanio, Satriano, Zanotti & Vanheusden

According to Tuttosport, Inter want to make their move for Bento in the coming weeks.

The Nerazzurri see signing the 24-year-old early as essential given the interest in his signature from the Premier League.

And Inter have a specific plan to do so. They expect to be able to meet Paranaense’s valuation with the money from a handful of sales currently out on loan.

Attacking midfielder Oristanio is currently at Cagliari. Satriano, meanwhile, is at Brest.

Zanotti is on loan with Swiss side St. Gallen, and Vanheusden is back at Standard Liege.

Inter expect to be able to sell these four players for fees that should make a move for Bento well within their reach, reports Tuttosport.
