Manu Kone is still a major target for Inter Milan, who could also sign two defenders in a late transfer window blitz.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
There are now fewer than two weeks to go in the summer transfer window.
Inter have made three signings so far. But ever since then, they’ve been unable to complete any more deals.
That does not mean that the Nerazzurri have not tried. They have been chasing Ademola Lookman for more than a month.
However, with Atalanta’s intransigence in negotiations, Inter’s interest in Lookman appears to be fading.

Inter are keen to sign a midfielder before the transfer window, reports Tuttosport.
And according to the newspaper, Roma’s Manu Kone is still a top target for this position despite the Giallorossi rebuffing the Nerazzurri’s first bid.
Then, Inter will make at least one defensive signing. And they could even make two – particularly if Benjamin Pavard leaves.
The sale of Nicola Zalewski to Atalanta for €17 million has been another major wild card.
Inter have brought in some extra cash, on top of the €40-45 million they had been ready to invest to begin with.
However, Zalewski’s departure could create a hole in the squad on the left side.
