Inter Milan and Napoli are both eyeing up a move for Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini this summer transfer window.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Italian international has likely played his last match for Roma.
Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini has suffered a muscle injury.
The 28-year-old will be on the sidelines for around two months while he recovers.
Therefore, the Gazzetta confirm, Pellegrini’s season is over. He will not feature in any of Roma’s final three Serie A matches of the campaign.
However, the Gazzetta report, it may not just be Pellegrini’s season for Roma that’s over. It may be his entire tenure at the Giallorossi.

It is no secret that Lorenzo Pellegrini is a player whose future in the Italian capital is up in the air.
The Italian international is under contract with Roma until the end of June 2026. And so far, there is a long way to go from Pellegrini signing an extension.
And if Pellegrini does not extend his deal, then there is little doubt that Roma will look to sell him this summer. They would aim to cash in while they have the chance.
Therefore, other clubs are certainly taking notice should Pellegrini leave the Stadio Olimpico.
And according to the Gazzetta, the two main suitors for the former Sassuolo midfielder would be Inter Milan and Napoli.
