At the moment, Inzaghi is taking some time to rest and recharge.

The former Lazio coach is waiting for the preparations for next season, and enjoying the afterglow of last campaign, which saw him win his first ever Serie A title as a coach.

Inter had a gruelling campaign, for both the players and the coach. They played a total of 49 matches across four different competitions.

Therefore, the order of the day at the moment is simply to relax and recover energy.

But in ten days, Inzaghi will be back. And he will be raring to start preparing for the new season in Inter’s training camp.

Simone Inzaghi Ready To Build On Inter Milan Legacy After Summer Vacation

As the Gazzetta highlight, Inzaghi will soon surpass the length of Robert Mancini’s first reign as Inter coach, which was between 2004 and 2008.

The 48-year-old is also set to sign a contract extension this summer which will put the tenures of Eugenio Bersellini and Giovanni Trapattoni in view for him.

Inzaghi has had plenty of bumps in the road across his first three years as Inter coach.

There was the failure to win the Serie A title in his first season as coach, the 2021-22 campaign.

That season had seen Inter build up what looked to be a solid lead in the winter, before throwing it away in the spring and losing out to AC Milan on the final day of the campaign.

And then in Inzaghi’s second season, Inter’s erratic form in the league saw them finish miles behind champions Napoli in the Serie A table.

Even last season, there were hiccups. Inter exited the round of sixteen of the Coppa Italia and Champions League against Bologna and Atletico Madrid respectively.

But the overall trend has been positive.

Inzaghi has already won six trophies with Inter, culminating in last season’s Serie A title.
