Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi will make three changes to the starting XI that failed to beat Juventus when the Nerazzurri take on Empoli on Wednesday.

According to Corriere dello Sport, as reported by FCInterNews, Inzaghi is ready to nail three first-team stalwarts to the bench at Stadio Carlo Castellani.

There’s no room for a mistake as Inter head to Tuscany eager to put a frustrating 4-4 home draw against Juventus behind them.

Indeed, Inzaghi’s charges wasted a two-goal lead at Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday, allowing Napoli to fortify their position at the top.

Antonio Conte’s men boast a four-point lead on second-placed Inter but travel to Stadio San Siro to meet AC Milan.

Therefore, the reigning Scudetto holders face a seemingly presentable opportunity to bridge the gap.

Encouragingly, Inter have won their last six away league encounters against Empoli ‘to nil.’

On top of that, they have not conceded on nine consecutive top-flight visits to Castellani since a 1-0 loss in 2006.

Such a formidable run could be the reason Inzaghi’s willing to shuffle the deck tomorrow.

For starters, Yann Bisseck could dislodge Stefan de Vrij from the starting line-up.

The Dutch veteran deputized for the injured Francesco Acerbi against Juventus but failed to impress.

Meanwhile, Bisseck came off the bench and injected energy and pace into Inzaghi’s underperforming backline.

It could earn him a chance to start against Empoli.

Moving higher up the pitch, Inzaghi is ready to bench Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Despite netting a superb first-half goal on Sunday, the Armenian veteran could surrender his place to Kristjan Asllani.

Indeed, the Albania international is in for his first Serie A start since mid-September.

Finally, Lautaro Martinez may drop to the bench, with Mehdi Taremi likely to partner Marcus Thuram in the final third.

Inter Potential Starting XI  (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, Bastoni, Bisseck; Dumfries, Frattesi, Asllani, Barella, Darmian; Taremi, Thuram.
