Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani addressed the media in the lead-up to a high-stakes Champions League showdown against Monaco.

With Hakan Calhanoglu on the sidelines with a muscle injury, Asllani has become a first-team regular in January.

The Albanian midfielder again highlighted the significance of taking an all-important point.

Indeed, a draw would see Inter through to the last-16 via a coveted top-eight finish.

“We need that point, but we enter the field to win. We will give our best.”

With a place in the knockout stages already in the bag, Inter fans can start dreaming big.

However, Asllani chooses to keep his feet firmly on the ground.

Instead, he looks to take one step at a time.

“We’ve collected so many points; it would be a shame not to add more tonight. We have to win – we know we’re a strong team.”
