With the Turkish international on the verge of departing the Nerazzurri, Inter has identified Atalanta’s Ederson as their primary candidate to replace central midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that whilst it seems that the 31-year-old leaning towards joining Turkish giants Galataseray next season, the Biscione dream of replacing Hakan with the 25-year-old Brazilian international.
It is important to note that a move for the midfielder cannot be made unless Calhanoglu is sold, as it would take an offer of at least €40m to convince La Dea to offload one of their best players in the middle of the park.
The Nerazzurri were heavily keen on Lazio star Nicolo Rovella, but it seems that the Biancocelesti have no intention of negotiating for the sale of the former Juventus midfielder and would only let him depart the capital club if his €50m release clause is activated.
Furthermore, Inter have identified Parma’s Adrian Bernabe and Morten Frendrup of Genoa as alternative signings if they are unable to secure Ederson.
