Over the last few months, various names have been linked to the club as potential successors for the Polish striker. However, thanks to a certain player’s recent run of form and goalscoring ability, Barça might already have a potential candidate at the club.

Torres makes a strong case for himself

As highlighted by SPORT, 25-year-old Spanish forward Ferran Torres continues to make a good case for himself. So far this season, he has already scored twice in two games for La Blaugrana as the starting centre-forward instead of Lewandowski.

Moreover, despite not regularly being a starter last season as well, he still managed to score 19 goals for Barça. Such numbers are hard to ignore, and he has consistently proven his ability to deliver in big games against top opponents as well.
