After the game between AC Milan and Hellas Verona last night, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was asked by the media about Rafael Leao’s importance for the team. The Swede also explained why he opted for a different look in the stands.
Those of you who spotted Ibrahimovic in the stands (he was shown on TV a few times) will have noticed something different about his look. Rather than having his hair in a knot, which he has had for many years now, he opted for a ‘more relaxing’ look.
In his interview with Sky Italia after the game, Ibrahimovic was asked about the new look and also praised Leao for his contribution on the pitch. While the winger is often on the receiving end of criticism, he continues to deliver for the team.
Leao came on and set up the goal…
“He will always be the reference for this team. He came in and made an assist. Today he came in and made the difference. That’s what we ask of him, to come on the pitch and resolve the games. We are Milan, there can’t be just one player who makes the difference.”
You have gone for a new look with your hair untied…
“It’s more relaxing… (smiles).”
Feyenoord are up next for Milan and Leao will likely play from start in that game. It would be a huge failure if the Rossoneri were to get knocked out against the Dutch side, and it would certainly leave Ibrahimovic in a difficult situation.
