Joao Felix will be officially unveiled at a press conference this afternoon, but in the meantime his first words as an AC Milan player have been published.

All throughout January Felix was spoke about as being a transfer target for Milan but heading into the closing stages of the winter window it did not appear to be something that would materialise.

Then, on deadline day things accelerated quickly and the signing was made official the day after as the former Benfica man arrived from Chelsea on a six-month dry loan deal.

There is already talk of the desire to explore a permanent move or at least a new loan formula with an option/obligation to buy, which will only intensify if he keeps showing what he can bring.

Milan published some quotes from Felix on their Instagram profile in which the forward shed a bit of light on how much he wanted to join.

“I pushed hard to come here; I want to give my all for this club. I already knew Conceicao, his passion is contagious and winning is essential. Kaka has always been my idol. I saw myself in him and tried to emulate him. The fans’ warmth has been incredible, I want to make them happy,” he said.
