Liverpool boss Arne Slot was impressed by what he saw from Noni Madueke as Chelsea beat Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Blues recorded a much needed 3-1 win with Enzo Fernandez opening the scoring, before Jarell Quansah put through his own net, whilst Cole Palmer added the third with a late penalty, his first goal since January.
The result means Chelsea move level on points with Newcastle in fourth and just a point behind Manchester City in third ahead of a huge trip to St James’ Park this weekend.
Enzo Maresca named an unchanged team from the side which beat Everton 1-0, with Moises Caicedo at right back and Romeo Lavia in midfield.
Madueke started on the left side again, and even though he didn’t score he put in another impressive performance and was a constant threat, with Chelsea seemingly returning to form at a crucial stage of the season.

The England international has really developed under Maresca, with Jason Cundy impressed with the winger, and Slot reserved praise for Madueke after the game.
“I think it was Madueke who could just go and start to dribble between four or five of ours and I haven’t seen that before this season,” Slot said as cited on X.com.
Madueke has scored 11 goals and registered five assists in 37 appearances in all competitions, making him Chelsea’s most productive winger this campaign.
There’s set to be plenty of movement in the wides areas this summer, and Madueke himself has been linked with a move away.
The Blues have a decision to take on whether to make Jadon Sancho’s loan move permanent, whilst Estevao Willian will arrive after the Club World Cup.

Chelsea have been linked with Nico Williams, whilst they are said to be leading the race to land Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens.
In any case it’s look likes a wide player could possibly leave, but it would arguably be a mistake to cash in on Madueke given the season he’s had and his importance to the side.
