‘I don’t know’ – Kylian Mbappé provides lighthearted response to Real Madrid question | OneFootball

Real Madrid-bound Kylian Mbappé was on Thursday evening drawn on his plans beyond the summer once again.

It is of course world football’s worst-kept secret that frontman Mbappé is all set to link up with Real Madrid this summer.

After coming to the decision not to renew his expiring contract with Paris Saint-Germain, the Frenchman has since been locked in negotiations with the Blancos brass, with an agreement between the parties now understood to be in place.

And yet, to date, neither Mbappé nor his entourage have budged when asked to confirm his Santiago Bernabéu switch.

Earlier this week, the 25-year-old’s mother and agent, Fayza Lamari, had the following to say when asked directly ‘where is Kylian going next year?’:

“I think you already know, right?”

And, this evening, Mbappé himself made use of his mother’s comments, to lightheartedly dodge the subject during a media exchange of his own.

After it was put to the prolific frontman that ‘your mother said everyone knows where you’re going,’ Mbappé responded:

“If she knows, ask her, because I don’t know”, accompanied by a wry smile.

When confronted by a further query of ‘are you joining Real Madrid?’, Mbappé concluded:

“I’m leaving PSG. For now that’s the only thing to know.”
