Get ready for a mouth-watering DFB-Pokal round of 16 tie as Bayern Munich lock horns with Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday evening.
Bayern Munich will look to keep their DFB-Pokal journey going as they take on Bayer Leverkusen in a heavyweight cup tie on Tuesday. Xabi Alonso's Pokal holders will be determined to successfully defend their crown, and will hope to get the better of a beleaguered Bayern side that will have to make do without the injured Harry Kane.
Bayern's run of clean sheets was ended by Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, and they will need to deliver a much better performance if they are to get past Bayer Leverkusen in this cup tie.
The last time these two sides met was in the Bundesliga back in September, when Bayern dominated proceedings but had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
With Kane sidelined, Jamal Musiala will likely be charged with spearheading the Bayern attack on Tuesday. Michael Olise should also make his return to the starting XI after setting up the equalizing goal against Borussia Dortmund.
For Bayer Leverkusen, Florian Wirtz will lead the way along with the in-form Patrik Schick. The Bayern defenders will also have to be wary of the wide attacking threat posed by the likes of Alejandro Grimaldo and Jeremie Frimpong.
Fans can watch Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen live in Germany on Sky Sport. In the United States, the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Those in the United Kingdom can tune in to Premier Sports for the DFB-Pokal live stream.
