Il Corriere dello Sport suggests USMNT international Christian Pulisic exceeded expectations at Milan this season, becoming a regular starter and scoring the Rossoneri’s 5,000th Serie A goal in history.

Pulisic has had a tremendous impact at San Siro with 12 goals and eight assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.

He scored in the last four competitive matches for the Rossoneri, becoming the joint-highest-scoring USMNT player in Serie A history with nine goals, equalling Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.

Il Corriere dello Sport’s printed edition on Wednesday (page 18) reported that Pulisic also scored Milan’s 5,000th in Serie A. Ex-Ballon d’Or winner Kaka scored the 4,000th in 2007, just a few months after the Rossoneri’s Champions League victory.

Il Corriere dello Sport also noted that Pulisic has exceeded expectations at San Siro this season given that he was expected to battle Samuel Chukwueze for a starting spot as a right-winger in 2023-24.

On the contrary, the ex-Chelsea man immediately became a Milan starter and one their most decisive players this season, undoubtedly the best in March.

Milan signed Pulisic from Chelsea for €20m in the summer of 2023. The American winger has signed a contract until June 2027 with the Serie A giants.
