England face Spain in the Women’s Euro 2025 final on Sunday, and this guide outlines travel, ticket and accomodation costs for fans planning a last-minute trip to support the Lionesses in Basel.

Women’s Euro 2025 Final Travel Costs: How Much Are Flights to Basel

The Lionesses will take on Spain at St. Jakob-Park in Basel on Sunday, July 27, at 6pm local time (5pm UK time).

That means there is not long for England fans to make the trip to Switzerland if they want to support them in Basel.

According to Skyscanner at the time of writing (prices subject to change), a direct flight from London to Basel on Friday evening costs at least £424.

A direct flight on Saturday morning costs £343. No flights on Sunday would arrive in time for the final.

However, the price stacks up when you start adding on the return journey to the trip.

The cheapest deal for flights to Basel on Friday or Saturday, returning on Monday, is £782.90, including taxes, fees, and charges.

Can England fans get the train to Basel for the Euro 2025 final?

England fans alternatively could get the train to Basel in time for the Women’s Euro 2025 final against Spain.

Supporters would need to take the Eurostar from London St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord, followed by a three-hour train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Basel SBB station.

There is a journey departing London St Pancras at at 8.01am on the morning of the final which gets into Basel at 3.26pm.

However, when you add the return journey on Monday morning, this would cost England fans £904.

Fans leaving on Friday and returning on Monday would pay £821 minimum.

The cheapest Saturday journey, with an additional stop in Mulhouse, France, costs upwards of £723 for a return trip. Again, these prices are subject to change.

Are there any tickets still on sale for the Women’s Euro 2025 final?

UEFA are currently offering no tickets for the Women’s Euro 2025 final. Their website states that resale tickets go on sale at 11am each day though there is no guarantee any will become available before the final on Sunday.

However, other ticket resale platforms may have options. At the time of writing (prices subject to change), StubHub lists tickets starting at €155 (£135.10), while Ticombo offers tickets from €194 (£169)

How much are hotels in Basel ahead of the Euro 2025 final?

Hotels in Basel will be quickly selling out ahead of this weekend’s Women’s Euro 2025 final between Spain and England.

Prices on the Sunday night range from as little as £212 to nearly £500. However, with few options to get to Basel on the day of the game, fans might have to explore staying the extra night on Saturday.

Currently, costs for spending two nights in Basel within two miles of the stadium cost in the region of £424 to £717 through Booking.com

How much is food and drink in Switzerland?

Women’s Euro 2025 has taken place in one of the most expensive countries in Europe.

The Independent reported that the costs of eating and drinking in Switzerland is about 30% higher than London prices.

They reported that a Big Mac at one McDonald’s in Basel cost about 6.90 Swiss francs – 28 per cent higher than in central London.

While a pint in an Irish pub in the city centre costs  9.80 Swiss francs (£9) – about 29 per cent higher than Waxy O’Connors in London.

In the Zurich fan zone it was reported that a 400ml glass of lager set supporters back CHF 7.50 (£6.91) while a 100ml glass of wine costing £7.38 and prosecco available for £7.84. Iced tea and fizzy drinks cost over £5 while half-litre bottles of water cost were available for around £4.15.

It is expected that prices inside the St.Jakob Park in Basel for the Euro 2025 final will be hefty too.
