The Canaries have already signed one shot-stopper this summer.

Norwich City have made an offer to Leicester City for goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk.

Despite having already bought one potential replacement - Plymouth Argyle's Dan Grimshaw - for long-serving glovesman Angus Gunn for a reported fee of £600,000, City are still in the market for another option between the sticks, as per The Pink Un.

The Scottish international spent a number of years at Carrow Road but will be officially released by Norwich upon the expiration of his current deal this summer.

Jakub Stolarczyk emerges as a target for Norwich City

Stolarczyk, Leicester's Polish shot-stopper, is one player they are reported to be after to fill the second slot in their goalkeepers union, as per Pink Un, but it was said to be a deal that would be tough to do.

This was evidenced when it was reported by Sky Sports' Rob Dorsett that Leicester had rejected a bid from the Canaries for Stolarczyk.

The 24-year-old has only just had his stay at the King Power Stadium extended and could rise up the Foxes' pecking order if first-choice option Mads Hermansen gets picked off by another team this summer. Dorsett further said that Leicester don't want to sell Stolarczyk, who started 10 Premier League matches for them last season.

He isn't Norwich's only target in this position, though. Pink Un reported that Sporting Lisbon's Vladan Kovacevic is another option that they are considering for this position. The six-foot-three 27-year-old spent the past term on loan with Legia Warsaw, for whom he started half-a-dozen league games.

Norwich are focusing on defensive improvements this summer

New boss Liam Manning doesn't want a major reshaping of the squad this summer. Getting better defensively is clearly a target for him, with Swansea City defender Harry Darling being linked with a move to Norfolk. "He has shown what he can do at the Championship level," said Manning, via Pink Un, on the 25-year-old who he worked with at MK Dons.

"He’s definitely someone who is a good fit. But he will have options." Birmingham City, Stoke City and Wrexham are also said to be interested in the Englishman.

Getting this element of the game right will be crucial to Norwich's rise back up the Championship table. Under Johannes Hoff Thorup, they conceded way too often; 68 times, to be exact. Other than the three relegated sides, only Portsmouth (71) and Sheffield Wednesday (69) let in more goals than the Canaries did in the 2024/25 campaign.

It's no wonder then that, despite having two of the four top scorers in the division - Borja Sainz and Josh Sargent, who they are at risk of losing this summer - they finished in the bottom half of the Championship. Going off their activity so far, addressing these problems is clearly a priority.
