Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo could take to the pitch in a competitive setting against the Spanish heavyweights this coming summer.
That’s if the latest word surrounding his future in the media is anything to go by.
Frontman Ronaldo is, as things stand, set to become a free agent over the weeks ahead.
After two thoroughly productive years in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr, the Portuguese international will see his contract terms come to a close next month.
A number of clubs, in turn, have inevitably expressed an interest in his signing, with Ronaldo expected to continuing his playing days amid an ongoing pursuit of the 1,000-goal mark.
And in the case of one such suitor securing a deal for the 40-year-old, a mouth-watering fixture will be pencilled in for the summer.
As per a report from Foot Mercato, Al-Nassr’s Saudi rivals Al-Hilal have Ronaldo firmly in their sights with a view to next season.
Should an agreement be found between the parties on the terms of a contract, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will then be facing up to a debut appearance against none other than Real Madrid.
This comes with Los Blancos and Al-Hilal primed to face off in the Club World Cup on June 18th.
