The plans of Barcelona boss Hansi Flick to cover for the absence of star winger Lamine Yamal this weekend have begun to take shape.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that a decision has been all but made regarding the youngster’s replacement in Barcelona’s XI.

Lamine, for his part, will of course play no part on Saturday night, when his teammates lock horns with Atlético Madrid in a top-of-the-table La Liga showdown.

As much comes owing to an ankle injury suffered against Leganés last time out.

This has left Hansi Flick and his staff with a call to make, regarding just who should take their place on the right flank at Montjuïc on Saturday.

The current options include Ansu Fati, Pau Víctor, or even Fermín López.

The understanding, however, is that stepping into Barcelona’s line-up, just rewards for his recent form off the bench, will be Ferran Torres.

The former Manchester City man could take his place directly on the right, or even switch to the left, allowing Raphinha to cover for Lamine against Atlético.
