Houssem Aouar’s salary demands put a halt to negotiations with Nice | OneFootball

Talks between Houssem Aouar and Nice seem to have broke off due to the player’s high wages.

Over recent weeks, Roma put Aouar on the transfer block given that the midfielder failed to convince Daniele De Rossi.

After only one season in the Italian capital, the ex-Lyon man is already looking to move elsewhere.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, moving Aouar appears more complicated than Roma initially expected.

Aouar was in talks with Nice but eventually the French club backed off due to the player’s salary demands (Aouar earns around 3 million euros at Roma).

In the meantime, however, Aouar seems to have drawn more interest in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Roma would be willing to consider offers above 8 million euros.
