All-Time Series:

They will face each other for the first time in the Central American Cup.

For Xelajú, this will be their second match against a Salvadoran club in the history of the Central American Cup. The Guatemalan club’s goals were scored by Kenner Gutiérrez and Hugo del Cid, while Wilma Torres scored for the Salvadorans.

In the past, they’ve faced Salvadoran teams once in the Central American Cup (W-1) and four times in the Concacaf Champions Cup (W-1 L-2 D-1). The victory was a 2-1 result on July 13, 1997, in the second round of Central America against Luis Ángel Firpo. Xelajú’s goals were scored by Walter Posse and Hugo Mora, while the Salvadoran club’s goal came from Raúl Toro.
