MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup continues with CD Hércules hosting CD Olimpia in Group D on Wednesday at Estadio Las Delicias in Santa Tecla, El Salvador.
CD Hércules will seek to have a better outing at home after falling 2-nil to Xelajú MC in its opening match. Kelvin Hernández had one of the best looks for the hosts in the first half, missing just wide of the left post after Melvin Urbina created a chance on a breakaway.
CD Olimpia will seek to extend its lead as the first-place side in the group following a 3-nil win against Real Estelí FC. Julián Martínez, Jorge Benguché and Edwin Solano opened their tallies in the 2025 edition and will seek to continue their scoring form.
Jorge Benguché scored his fifth goal in the tournament to become Olimpia’s all-time top scorer in the CCAC.
José Mario Pinto, Jorge Álvarez, and Edrick Menjívar each reached nine matches played in the Central American Cup, the most appearances by Olimpia players in the competition.
Edrick Menjívar recorded his third clean sheet in the tournament’s history, becoming the Honduran goalkeeper with the most shutouts in CCAC history.
