Sheffield Wednesday are set to name assistant manager Henrik Pedersen as the successor to Danny Röhl.
The Owls confirmed that Röhl left the club earlier today amid off-field uncertainties that has seen the club receive a three-window transfer embargo due to overdue payments.
Röhl had managed to steady the ship at Hillsborough – a responsibility that will now be handed to his former assistant, Henrik Pedersen according to Sheffield-based outlet, The Star.
Danish coach Pedersen, not to be confused with the former Bolton Wanderers player of the same name, joined Röhl's backroom staff in October 2023 and renewed his contract with the club earlier this month.
Once the club finalises the paperwork for the 47-year-old, he will be given the daunting task of keeping the club in the Championship against the odds.
