Bayern Munich have agreed personal terms with Nick Woltemade, but the transfer saga could drag on as tough negotiations with VfB Stuttgart over the fee loom.
For Italian transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, there’s no doubt the move will eventually happen – but whether it will be this summer or next year remains to be seen.
“He is a superstar and a fantastic striker. I think he will leave. Bayern Munich have reached a personal agreement with the player, and other clubs like Inter Milan and AS Roma have also tried to make an offer,” Di Marzio told Wettfreunde.de.
“He will go to Bayern, but I don’t know whether he’ll make the move immediately or stay at Stuttgart for another year. It depends on the relationship between Stuttgart and Bayern Munich, and how urgently Bayern feel they need to bring him in.”
Reports suggest that the Swabians are demanding a fee in the region of €80 million, while Bayern are only willing to pay around €50 million at this stage.
