Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has tonight moved to lavish praise on youngster Arda Güler.
As much, of course, comes fresh off another outing to remember for the Turkish starlet.
Real marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Alavés to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash.
Güler, for his part, was forced to make do with a spot on the bench from the off, as boss Ancelotti opted for a strong XI amid ongoing efforts to prepare for next month’s Champions League final.
During the 2nd-half, though, the summer arrival in Madrid was introduced to the fray.
And, once again, Güler took little time in making his impact firmly felt…
Less than 20 minutes after being thrown on, the 19-year-old drilled a fine finish into the bottom corner of the visitors’ net, to make it two in two, and four goals in his last six appearances.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at the Santiago Bernabéu, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of Güler’s latest impressive exploits was put to his manager.
And, in his response, Carlo Ancelotti was full of praise for his midfield prodigy:
“The squad loves Arda Güler. We are very happy that he’s there. He has a gift. He scores goals even when he doesn’t deserve it (laughs). The ball is in love with Arda!”
