Harry Kane has played down recent transfer speculation regarding his Bayern Munich future as links with a Premier League return intensify.

The England captain left Tottenham Hotspur for Bavaria in 2023 and has been a sensation since his switch to Germany. Although his trophy curse has continued thus far, he's still scored an astounding 71 times in 73 matches for the Bavarian giants.

However, it emerged last week that there were a series of release clauses in Kane's contract. The first would have seen him available to leave Bayern for £66.5m last summer and the second allows him to depart for just £54m in the summer of 2026.

Naturally, the discovery of these potential cut-price exits has led to much speculation regarding his long-term future at the Allianz Arena, with some even hinting at a move to Manchester United, Liverpool or a return to Spurs.

After scoring another brace in Bayern's 3-0 win over Werder Bremen on Friday night, Kane was asked about his future with the German giants.

"I don’t want to talk about that. What I can say is that I am very happy at FC Bayern," the 31-year-old responded.

Kane looks set to secure the first trophy of his entire career this season with Bayern currently perched at the Bundesliga summit. They have a healthy lead at the top and already boast a staggering +46 goal difference after just 21 matches.

Bayern are no longer in the DFB Pokal after being beaten by reigning German champions Bayer Leverkusen in the round of 16, but remain in the Champions League and face Celtic during the play-off round.

If Kane were to taste silverware at last this term, it would perhaps strengthen rumours linking him with a return to the Premier League. However, the striker is unlikely to reveal any future plans until the end of the campaign - if at all.
